Our little princess turned 3! How in the world is she not my baby anymore? Suddenly she is a kid. Full of her own opinions and ideas. I love it.
To celebrate her birthday we had her first friends party. She helped me pick what kind of party she wanted so of course we went with princesses.
We invited 11 of Ella's friends and had everyone wear their princess (or knight) outfits.
We started by doing princess sticker scenes and then made princess crowns.
All the little girls worked so hard. It was so cute!
We then had lunch. PB & honey sandwiches cut into princess shapes, strawberries, chips and juice boxes. We also had princess cupcakes and sang to Ella and had her blow out a candle. Of course I remembered to get it on video but apparently forgot to shoot a picture. Oops.
We then played pin the crown on Ella. Ella won!
Kate got her princess clothes on for the party too!
Finally we passed out princess wands and turned on the bubble machine and let the kids go crazy popping bubbles.
To wrap things up we had Ella open presents. She had so much fun and was good at saying thank you to everyone.
All the little kids huddled so close around her as she was opening gifts it was so funny.
After all the craziness of a friend party we decided to go all out and have our families over for a barbeque that night as well. We kept it pretty low key and just did burgers and sides. And of course Ella got to open more presents from us and from her grandparents.
She got a new scooter! She loves it!
And we sang to her again and let her blow out another candle!
We love our Ella and had so much fun having a day all about her!
Ella is such an amazing girl and we are so proud of the little person she is becoming. She has such a sweet spirit and is a great friend to everyone. If she someone who is sad or hurt she is right there to give them a hug or talk to them. She makes friends so easily everywhere we go. Even if it's just in line at Cafe Rio. I hope she is able to do this always.
She is starting to gain such a sweet little testimony. She is great at saying her prayers by herself and talks about how Heavenly Father and Jesus made her body or how beautiful they painted the sky at sunset.
She is also so smart. She has been able to sing her ABC's for almost a year now, she can identify all of the letters and write most of them. She can write her name on her own. She knows just about every nursery rhyme, many primary songs and even some of "my" songs on the radio. Her memory is amazing.
She's really good and still hasn't really thrown tantrums. She has some moments but she really is amazingly good and easy to reason with and is good at following the rules.
I love her so much and feel so lucky to have her. She's a great big sister to Kate and is so helpful and loves her so much.
