I am getting married in less than TWO WEEKS! I'm happy, excited, stressed and a little nervous.
Time has absolutely flown. I think this is due to the fact that I've been unbelievably busy. Not only am I in the midst of planning a wedding, we're also house hunting and I'm moving to Denver right after the honeymoon. So many big, life changing events at once! They are all happy things but they are all HUGE things.
The wedding is pretty much all done. Getting the invitations out was the biggest task. I designed them and then worked with a printer to have them printed so it was relief when they went in the mail last week. My family left Friday for Hawaii so my mom and I wanted to make sure everything was ready before they left. (I stayed home because I have WAY too much going on to up and leave for a week. Plus I'll be going on a little vacation of my own in a couple of weeks!) So aside from a few details I think we're good to go on the wedding.
I got my bridal pictures taken last week. I can't post them because I don't want Danny to see them (not that he EVER looks at this but just in case). I have mixed feelings about how they turned out. I wasn't a big fan of how my hair looked so I'm trying to figure out how to do it for the actual wedding. I think the girl who did it could tell I wasn't thrilled so she suggested a few things she could do differently on the wedding day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it turns out.
In other news, I think we may have found our house. Once we've signed and things are finalized I'll post more. It's been an interesting process with Danny being in another state. When he's been in town we've looked at the ones we've narrowed down. Then when he's in Denver I just take tons of pictures and describe every detail to him. It's definitely been an exercise in communication skills.
And finally, on a completely unrelated note, I've found a new TV series that I am now completely addicted to - Army Wives on Lifetime. I got season one from Netflix for while my family is gone. I have a rule with myself that if I want to watch TV it has to be done while I'm on the elliptical. Let's just say that today I spent over two hours ellipticizing (and yes I know that isn't a word) because I couldn't tear myself away. It's sort of like Desperate Housewives only less scandalous.
I recognize that this post was a complete jumble but that's how I'm feeling right now so it is fitting.

I think you are allowed to be "jumbled of thought" right now! (Besides, it's your blog, you can say whatever you want!)
I have to ask, how long are you going to be in Denver? If I remember it will be through the end of the year...? I ask because I want to do a project in my kitchen and was thinking you'd be the person to ask about it! Will you be working out here? If you have time, would you want to come over and coach me?
I want to stain my kitchen island a different color...maybe black. Also, I'm going to put different hardware on the cabinets, just to make them more "me." Since I know you are the queen of paint and stain; I was so excited to hear you'd be here for a little while. Plus, if you're not working, it will give us an excuse to hang out! =]
Also, I love the Denver Art Museum, downtown Denver, Boulder, etc. We could go do so much fun stuff.
Holy cow, long comment. Let me know what your plans are when you have a second and we can work stuff out! (No stress, though....you don't need any more than you have right now! This is all fun stuff and only if you have time to fill!) Love you...Mel
